Applications for the General Committee for Hilary Applications for the General Committee for Hilary 2025 are now open!

Similarly to last term, in your application you will be asked to indicate your preferred General Committee position i.e. Marketing Officer, which we hope to assign to you if you are elected to the General Committee. Please do note however that final assignments may vary slightly based on the election results and the demand for each role.

Events Officer
 * Organising socials
 * Booking venues
 * Liaising with organisers and guests
 * Setting up events and ensuring they run smoothly

Membership Officer
 * Creating stash
 * Aiding in organising President’s Drinks
 * Helping relaunch the Verdict blog

Marketing Officer
 * Promoting upcoming events on social media
 * Posting sponsorship material
 * Making reels and other content 

Diversity Officer
 * Working with the Executive Committee to improve diversity and accessibility
 * Planning a diversity panel talk
 * Collaborating with other societies

Welfare Officer
 * Organising welfare socials
 * Organising committee socials 
 * Supporting Freshers through Mods

Mentorship Officer
 * Initiating phase 2 of the mentorship scheme
 * Reaching out to potential mentors
 * Pairing mentees with mentors

ELIGIBILITY
To apply for the General Committee, candidates must be paid members of the Oxford Law Society.

APPLICATION PROCESS
Interested candidates should send an email to sriganesh.murugan@new.ox.ac.uk by 23:59 on Tuesday, 10th December 2024, with the following information:

* Personal Details: Name, College, Subject, and Year of Study.
* Manifesto: Maximum of 100 words.
* Your Preferred Position on Committee i.e. Membership Officer

Your manifesto might benefit from referencing any events you’ve attended as part of the Society, your suitability for the role, and your ideas for the upcoming term.
